 Android Fragmentation  (5/16/2012)

This is what's really keeping Android from dominating, serious device fragmentation...

"Open Signal Maps is a nifty free Android app and Web site that crowdsources where the strongest and weakest cell signals are. But along the way, it's also managed to amass a ton of data about what kind of Android devices are out there in the wild and they pulled it all together into some visualizations that dramatically show the extent of Android fragmentation."

 Hawk Pride Offroad - April 2012  (4/14/2012)

Spent the weekend at Hawk Pride Offroad. We took the the jeeps, rode Saturday and Sunday, and camped Saturday night on site. Really tough terrain that really pushed the limits of our drivers and vehicles. Sunday morning we were able to worship at an outdoor church service there at the park that was absolutely awesome and worth the entire trip. Great time. Pics below...

How One Second Could Cost Amazon $1.6 Billion  (3/15/2012)

"Research on U.S. Net habits suggests that if this sentence takes longer than a second to load, many citizens will have clicked elsewhere already. If you've got the patience (or are European) read on for more shocking data on not dawdling. The data comes from an infographic compiled by OnlineGraduatePrograms.com, with the specific goal of finding out about tolerance of slow webpage speeds for the average U.S. web user. Then they extended the data to cover other habits that take time, like waiting in line or being served in a restaurant. It turns out that Americans are an astonishingly impatient lot. In fact, odds are they've probably all given up reading this by now. Holla, rest of the world!"

POI: Malnutrition devastates 1 in 4 children  (1/3/2012)

"One out of every four children in Honduras suffers from chronic malnutrition. That means approximately 240,000 children have organ deficiencies due to lack of food. The World Food Program said these sad statistics make Honduras the Central American country with the second highest number of children suffering from malnutrition."

 Sidewalk Skate Ministry  (12/13/2011)

Sidewalk Skate Ministry is a local ministry model utilizing mobile skate ramps to provide the chance to skate in neighborhoods where the opportunity and access to skate parks is limited. In serving and doing this we aim to demonstrate and reflect the love God first showed to us. God loves me. God loves you. God loves skateboarders. That’s news worth spreading.

Flash is dead. Long live HTML5  (11/9/2011)
Finally.

"Adobe's love affair with its Flash format has come to an end. Oh sure, Adobe said they were just killing development on mobile browser Flash in favor of HTML5, but seriously, do you think, that they’ll keep working on Flash on the desktop for much longer? If you do, I have a nice, lightly-used bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you. No, the end of Flash is in sight and HTML5 is now the one true future for Internet video."

Amazon to sell Kindle Fire tablet for $199  (9/28/2011)
Will Amazon be the competitor to Apple in the tablet market that we've been waiting for? I hope so...

"Amazon will reportedly unveil Kindle Fire, an Android-powered tablet that acts more like a color e-reader on steroids that will retail for $199.

The Kindle Fire marks Amazon's first foray into the tablet market, which has so far been dominated by Apple's iPad. But with its low price and the well-known Kindle brand, analysts believe Amazon's product could represent the first legitimate competitor in an area where many other high-end Android tablets have missed the mark."
